Rad.io Streams Local And International Radio To Your Mobile Phone

If you’re travelling away from home or just want to keep up with local weather, news and traffic, but don’t exactly carry a radio around with you, Rad.io is a free mobile app that streams over 4000 radio stations from around the world right to your phone or tablet.

Rad.io Mobile is actually a product of the Rad.io website, which allows you to stream those same internet radio stations to any web-connected computer. The mobile apps tweak the interface for your iPhone, iPad, Android phone or tablet, or HP Touchpad. You can search by genre, city, or language, and when you find a station you want to listen to you can save it as a favourite. Then just tap to stream, and enjoy. If you get a phone call, the app will automatically pause and hand you off to take the call — just keep an eye on how much data you use when listening.

Rad.io is free and available now in the iTunes App Store, Android App Market, and HP Touchpad app store.
