With Halloween just around the corner, DIY web site Instructables details how to build a killer costume with this living severed hand. All you need is some heavy gloves, a few household items, and a desire to impress on the 31st.

This is just in time for those commercials for a Kids magic set, 21 tricks, with a green glove instead of a real garden glove, that are running on Nick recently.

Could I hollow out the hand of my latest victim to create the same kinda effect?

I think it'd look much better with some make up applied to the hand to make the flesh look a little more necrotic but nice tutorial.
