Yahoo Adds Playable Music Clips To Results
Posted by Gina Trapani at 8:55 AM on September 19, 2008
Thanks to a new partnership with Rhapsody, Yahoo adds playable music clips to their search results. Give it a try: Search for an artist like Madonna, and play popular tunes (up to 25 full-length tracks a month) at the top of the results in-browser. The main Yahoo Australia site doesn't sport this feature yet, but you can access it at the global search sub-page. How does Yahoo do with your favourite artist? Yahoo [via cNet]

Awesome! I think yahoo search has gotten a lot of compelling features in the last year and now I use it exclusively. The results are also just as good as google now (better, actually, for me).

@Quine: Wow, really? Huh! I might have to switch my global search keyboard mapping...

I dislike search results with a lot of extra content in them. I want SERPs to be as streamlined as possible. Yahoo! is a mess compared with Google to use in text browsers. Google is getting worse, but for now it is still tolerable for me.
