Moo0 RightClicker Adds Key Features to Windows' Right-Click Menu
Posted by Kevin Purdy at 10:00 PM on September 16, 2008
Windows only: Free right-click enhancer Moo0 RightClicker adds contextual images and a host of useful features to your standard right-click menu in Windows. Copying and moving files and folders to bookmarked or standard system folders is made easy with quick-collapsing menus. Perma-deleting items (as opposed to merely "recycling" them) is added to your options, and intelligent copying—the name, path, or contents of an actual file—is a nice touch. Best of all, Moo0 doesn't eliminate any customisations you've already made, and lets you customise what you see on right-clicking, so it works nicely with any other utilities you may have installed. Moo0 RightClicker is a free download for Windows systems only.

I keep extending XP and dread the day I have to reinstall. Bellarc Advisor is nice because it can track what you've installed... but having to grab everything again is a pain.
I know there is a possibility of creating a custom XP install disc using nLite. To my knowledge you can only go so far with that.
Imaging the entire OS is the way to go.

I like this kind of app and have been using FileMenu tools from www.lopesoft.com for a very long time now. Check that out too.

[www.lopesoft.com] is a much better product. IMHO.

Here's an alternate download, you just need a free ZDnet login: [downloads.zdnet.com]

@A3sthetix: I just saw the last line on your comment. Looks like you're already on the up and up.

@A3sthetix: Drive images are your friend. It is basically a snapshot of your drive. You'll keep all your programs, drivers, files, and tweaks.
I use Macrium Reflect Free. Check out this LifeHacker article. Last weekend I was able to completely reimage my drive in about half an hour.

Just installed this. Beware, the free version has a lot of features showing that aren't usable. To me this basically means it's just an advertisement for the paid version, and something I don't want on my computer.
I admit there are some useful things here, but there are likely truly free options available elsewhere.

There is something funny about the screenshot of the context menu. The first four items of the menu on the left are anti-aliased a la ClearText. The last three items have jaggy letters. Weird.
Windows has always been terrible at graphical consistency. Even Microsoft's own products are not consistent with themselves.

I haven't tried Moo Rightclicker, but I will say that I second the recommendation for lopesoft.

@Posco Grubb: Moo0 applies its own style for its menu items, that's why they look different. It's a set style that it uses for all systems, and it doesn't seem to care what custom menu text properties you've already set in XP (ie. via control panel Display applet -> Appearance -> Advanced).

I downloaded and installed it. The tiny and comic like font it uses for the right-click menu is an atrocity.

@equazcion: Sigh. They think their program is important enough to not use Windows' standard GUI elements. FastStone Image Viewer does the same, and though it tries half-heartedly to provide themes that emulate Windows XP's fisher-price themes, it's not the same, and it also will never match my Zune theme. I still use FastStone, but that's my major gripe with it.

Just tried FileMenu tools. Advanced renaming (batch) feature alone is worth download.

just tried FileMenu tools. The Advanced (batch) renaming feature is very handy. It's got my recommendation.
