Quarkbase Tells You Everything About a Web Site

Web site Quarkbase offers an organised and detailed overview of any web site, complete with summary, popularity, ownership, traffic information, and even recent blog posts and tweets about the site. In a nutshell, it's sort of like Whois.net on steroids. Quarkbase's accuracy and wealth of information varies based on the popularity of a site, but if you want to know more about a web site, it's a great place to start your search.

Yes, same happened here. I searched for a relatively new site, and it gave me the error message. Upon refresh, it loaded the page, and said:
"We have stumbled across konzervatorium.hu for the first time. Generating information will take approx. 50 sec, please be patient."
Most of the fields remained empty though.

The site amuses me; if it doesn't know something it won't admit it, but spits out a "something went wrong" error message.

Not only that, if you click on some of the related sites it will give you that same message. Or sometimes a site that doesn't even exist.

I get "502 Bad Gateway" for any site I try.

Yep, 502'ing here too. I tried this the other day and it didnt have a few sites in it but didnt seem to be adding them.

It's under a ton of traffic - a lot of people have been covering it lately. Should be back soon; I had a chance to try it when it was working, it was pretty snazzy, if not a little depressing to compare my own site stats against those of sites like lifehacker.
