Usniff Is Yet Another BitTorrent Aggregator
Posted by Adam Pash at 3:00 AM on August 24, 2008

Web site Usniff is BitTorrent search aggregator that scours popular BitTorrent search engines like The Pirate Bay, Mininova, and IsoHunt, and aggregates the results into a powerful, attractive interface. Similar to other previously mentioned BitTorrent aggregators like PizzaTorrent and Speckly, Usniff can filter through search results to refine your search. The coolest thing Usniff has going for it is advanced search operators, like exclusion with the '-' (minus) operator. It also allows you to disable results from certain engines if you don't like what you get there (I've always had bad results from Monova, for example). PizzaTorrent still seems like the most powerful aggregator, but Usniff is still worth a look.

Rip off the layout from the moo.fx (http://moofx.mad4milk.net) site much? :P

So... given the list of sites this one searches, this one's pretty much specifically tailored to piracy?

Most of the time I find what I'm looking for in BTJunkie. It boasts a lot more torrents than the competition. And it's got a nice rating community.

@Jezebeau: In other words, it's just the ticket.

We've shown you how to steal wifi at Starbucks, and at the airport. We've also shown you how to steal a copy of office not only once but twice.
We've also shown you how to violate the EULA for Mac OS by installing it on your PC Several times.
Now we show you how to steal any software using Torrent aggregators.
So enjoy your stolen software, on a stolen operating system, that you downloaded using stolen wifi. It will complement your crappy furniture made out of garbage like magazines, old doors, and cinder blocks!

@johnsmith1234: That was hilarious. Sorry if it wasn't meant to be, but it was. lmao.

@johnsmith1234: Wow, let's redefine theft and obfuscate the difference between it and copyright infringement. While we're at it, let's forget that EULAs are not necessarily legally binding, let alone ethically dubious.

i'm still waiting for a site that indexes all of my favorite bittorrent sites: btjunkie, pirate bay, demonoid, mininova, and isohunt. bittorrentmonster and pizzatorrent each index 4 out of 5. also, i did a search the other day on pizzatorrent but couldn't find what i was looking for. i then went to one of the sites it indexes and did the same search, and i did get results. strange. i really like these index sites, but after learning which torrent sites are the best, it seems easier to just add them to the search bar along with my "scroll search engines" and "organize search engines" add-ons.

I actually found a site called [www.googletor.com]
It's a custom Google search, it searches quite a few different torrent trackers.

I did a search on pizzatorrent for 'tomita' and got 96 replies all related to 'tomita'.
I did the same on usniff and got two pages of garbage totally unrelated to 'tomita'.
The first result was: 'Premium black pussy search 02 utlimate black ass pri...' This was followed by a whole bunch of unwanted results. I was not looking for either 'cats' or 'donkeys'!

@johnsmith1234: I love your post, it reads great, and it made me laugh.
I also love that this site offers what it does, and if it stoped, I would propably show up here less often. I want to know ways around the things set up just to make the customer pay. That's just how I feel, anyone else?

@johnsmith1234: Dude. It's not stealing. The Office promo is a LEGIT promotion by Microsoft, and college students like me appreciate it. So enjoy taking your moneybags and buy everything, I'll do the same when I graduate.
Get the hell off your high horse.

I've been using [scrapetorrent.com] and it's been pretty good except for a couple things: (1) interstitial full-screen ad redirects are annoying and I skip through them every time, and (2) some results are to BTJunkie pages which link to private trackers which require signup or invitation - and no heads-up on this.

@Torley: I agree scrapetorrent has been the most useful torrent search engine I have used. It hasn't been that bad to skip through the ads, I've been a user for almost a year now.
