Better Gmail 2 Gets Agenda Script, Redesigned Update
Posted by Gina Trapani at 3:04 PM on August 21, 2008
Just published an update to the Better Gmail 2 Firefox extension, which adds the excellent GmailAgenda user script (in the General options tab) and updates the Gmail Redesigned style. Download the latest version 0.6.1 here.

Is it possible to load an older version of this extension? I still don't have the https option in my Google Apps account. I'm also getting FF crashes with Gmail more often and would like to rule out the recent update to this extension as a cause.

HTTPS is an option in the latest version 0.6.1.
I don't recommend it, but you can get older versions; just change the URL in the download link to the version you want.

Does this work with Google Apps. Looking in General Options, and all over, and can't find a way to activate agenda.
Also my CC functionality (either automatic or with ctrl shift C) doesn't work - is this just me, or have others found this too?
But all in all, thanks LH (and Gina) for rocking Gmail and making it just a delight to work with every day. Great stuff.

Can anyone suggest a reason why I get a notice in the sidebar that I don't have permission to view the items?

I've tried the update and when enabling "Show agenda" GMail messages just disappear. When disabling it, they apeear again. Has anybody else noticed something like that?
I have standalone Redesined skin.

The link points to a comment on the bottom of the page. Might want to drop the anchor.

Meh, you seemingly dumped colour coding for labels.

I'm not sure what happened, but the redesigned skin stopped working for me after one of the last updates. Gmail loads normal even though the skin is selected. I don't have many other addons, could it be a conflict of some kind?
Thanks,
Tom

Doesn't look like it works for Google Apps version of Gmail.

Agenda option is very cool. Only thing is it doesn't match the redesign theme for gmail.
As far as problems with comments on lifehacker. If you using firefox with no script make sure you allow or temporarily allow certain sites otherwise the comment section won't appear.

Having trouble locating GmailAgenda after the update. Looked under the General Settings tab, but saw nothing.

@TKNice: Same problem for me, only one of the skins ever worked and, last week, the icon of the active "folder" (ie the icon for in-box) started to cover the text name of the folder.
I've turfed it.

I'm surprised this has been around as long as it has and there's still no "Mark All As Read" button. I do this daily, and find it so tedious to have to select all unread, drop down the Actions menu, click "Mark As Read", then select None.

FYI: The GmailAgenda author posted a comment on userscripts saying Google Apps support is almost done:
"I have got it working with Google Apps and just wanted to update everyone. I still need to put a few final touches on it still but its coming. I plan to have it out in the next few days." [userscripts.org]

Absolutely brilliant. Installed fedora 9 today and sure enough firefox suggested your plugin. I went the whole hog and ticked the "gmail redesigned" bit... absolutely awesome. Loving it. Nice work!

It may be just me, but gmailagenda, when apart of the better gmail firefox extension, doesn't have a "quick add" button, but the greasemonkey userscript does.

This is the error message I get when I try to use Better Gmail 2:
An error occurred during a connection to mail.google.com:443.
Peer reports it experienced an internal error.
(Error code: ssl_error_internal_error_alert)
What does that mean? Can anyone help me? :\

Any way to get Show Agenda to work with the Google Apps version of email?
