Blogger Leo Babauta found more free time in his days by decluttering his schedule and "designing" his life to include important stuff and exclude the rest. Lots of good, familiar advice here on managing distractions, your to-do list, and streamlining work to make more time for leisure.

I've gained more time by using a Google Reader to quickly scan my favorite sites and only check email a few times a day. I still visit Lifehacker, it's one of the few sites I have to visit a couple of times a day.

It's very helpful not to answer the phone during the day. I let the machine pick it up and return calls in batches, a few times throughout the day.

@madara: RSS readers in general are a big boost. I'm using the Sage Too extension for Firefox.
