Favtape Plays Back Your Pandora or Last.fm Favourites
Posted by Kevin Purdy at 10:00 PM on July 22, 2008
Marking a song as "Loved" or a "Favorite" on music discovery apps like Last.fm and Pandora doesn't help you a whole lot when you want to hear them again. Free mashup site Favtape bridges the gaps between your Last.fm or Pandora profile, track-finding sites like Seeqpod, and the dead-simple interface of a site like Muxtape to create a playlist of your marked tracks. Some tracks might not actually play once loaded into Favtape, but it's a cool way to create an instant playlist of songs you'll definitely like.

Couldn't get any Pandora love, either. :(

Well, on last.fm, you can listen to a station that's just your loved tracks.

Finetune? Grooveshark Lite? Embed Finetune on your website and work, play, listen. Or DIY? So many possibilities.

I use finetune. There is only one rule - You can include no more than 3 songs of any artist in your playlist.
3-song-rule makes me go for trying different ones. Actually, I think that is a good thing. Now my taste of music is becoming broader.

Hah. I've been marking my pandora favorites, and when I checked out my favtape, here are my results:
6 songs report their length as 1 second
4 songs don't load at all
2 songs play a completely different song
0 work correctly
No thanks. I'd like something with a little better than 0% success rate.

Same story as Caelan - out of my last.fm loved tracks, 2 actually loaded and played correctly. All others either played a song that wasn't even on my loved tracks or didn't load at all.

And probably the best feature is just downloading an MP3 of any song you want by just typing in...
www . favtape . com / play / artist / songname.mp3
