I assume that this is just performance?? I looked at the screen shots and they look like the old design, so I guess it will just be faster and more reliable (crashes once in a while.) can't wait 'til tomorrow.

Anyone know what the advantages/disadvantages of the different installation types are? The install page FAQ gives a link to visit to provide a more detail explanation, but it simply links you right back to the original install page and doesn't provide any info whatsoever about the difference? Any thoughts?

The errors are:
This style has problems that may prevent it from working:
Unrecognized at-rule or error parsing at-rule '@charset'.
Unrecognized at-rule or error parsing at-rule '@namespace'.
Selector expected. Ruleset ignored due to bad selector.
Unexpected end of file while searching for closing } of invalid rule set.
Do you want to use this code anyway?

After discovering how to install this (same problem as Charging_Mooses above), I cannot get it to install as there are errors after installing. Anyone else experience the same?

I really hope that there are performance increases in this update. I found that I liked the new style but it was too laggy to use on a regular basis.

Huge fan and avid user of this style. Looking forward to the update!

@Sam_Zebian: The design is not exactly the same. The left sidebar has got a new look (rounded corners, gradients) and the overall look is a bit more polished, but the performance increase is still the most significant update.

google needs to raise their game. they are starting to look bloated, slow, badly-designed. they need to get back to the lean, mean, super-stable lightweight and brilliant approach that set them apart..

GAFYD Logo Compatibility? - Does anyone know if these changes will integrate the custom logo for GAFYD? I would love to start using this, but our company does not want us using this since it replaces our custom logo with gmail redesigned logo - It can also cause confusion since I am using gmail for my company mail and personal mail, so with this skin it is tough to tell which one I am using.

@Tactical-Incineration-Development: This is NOT by Google. Regular GMail is still what you're describing.

I'm still getting the same problem that I highlighted above.
Is anyone else having a problem installing this?

Seems like the website userstyles.org has exceeded their bandwidth, from I can tell without that website there is no trying this out... ...patience ;>

@Brian Perconti: Gmail Redesigned is compatible with your GAFYD logo. Page with actual css code. Use your favorite text editor or code editor to open the gmail.css file after saving it.
To use your custom logo on the main gmail page, find the section in the css file called Search Bar - Gmail Logo. Comment out the line "background: transparent...) in that section. You will also need to change the width and height settings in that section to match the dimensions of your logo.
You have two options for the logo on the loading page. I don't care for the redesigned loading page, so I have opted to remove that completely from the redesign, by deleting all of the code from "The Loading Page" through to "Top Google Services Bar". The second option is to replace the background url under the Loading Page - "Loading..." with the url to your custom logo.
Once you have completed the changes, reopen the file in your browser, right click the Stylish button at the bottom right of your screen, and select Add file to Stylish.... I like to put "dev" on the end of the title so as to not replace the original Redesign.
Hopefully this works for you.

Not only has userstyles.org been hard to reach for a few days (though it's back up now, last I checked), but the latest Gmail Redesigned skin has started looking wonky tonight ... I had thought it might have been due to my updating Tab Mix Plus this evening, but when I try to reach the Globex/Gmail Redesigned site it says the account has been "SUSPENDED" due to exceeding CPU.

@mattsen: allow me to self-edit... what it actually says is "This Account Has Exceeded Its CPU Quota" ... not sure where I got the "SUSPENDED" drama from. Same result, however.

When I try to set a filter, all I see is the very top of the various boxes in which to place the criteria, rendering it impossible to proceed to the next step. If I switch to the basic gmail skin, the problem disappears. Am I the only one with this problem? Is it solved in the v2.0 redesign? Thanks.
