Click&Clean Clears the Crap from Your Browser
Posted by Adam Pash at 7:00 AM on July 2, 2008
Windows only: Freeware application Click&Clean works in conjunction with previously mentioned favourite CCleaner to cover your browsing tracks with the click of a button. To use it, first make sure that you've already installed CCleaner and then download and install Click&Clean. Once installed, Click&Clean will add an entry to your quick launch bar. You can stop with that if you like, but Click&Clean also provides a Cleaner button for you Firefox and Internet Explorer toolbars—you just have to add them through the customise dialogs. Once there, clicking the toilet paper icon will automatically run CCleaner's browser cleanup tools to give your browsing session a deep clean. Click&Clean is freeware, Windows only.

Is this any different than running CCleaner with the AUTO parameter? Using this parameter, it runs CCleaner, does it's thing and then closes.

@patrickjdub2: When you click the Click&Clean button, it will
1. Run the Clear Private Data Function
2. Open CCleaner
3. Run CCleaner
4. Close CCleaner

I tried this when I heard about it from a friend of mine in Jersey, he said it was pretty good, but I don't see much of a different between this and Clear Private Data...

I'm think that I might install this just to see the icon in my Firefox toolbar.

as "Manator Is Sorry" says, how is it different from pressing Clear Private Data in Firefox? :)
We can always enable Firefox's Privacy setting to "Always clear my private data when I close Firefox". This will clear our tracks when exiting Firefox. :)

For Firefox, why reinvent the wheel?
CTRL+SHIFT+DEL
In both Firefox and Internet explorer I set it to clear history, cache and the like when the browser is closed.
