Visigami Image Search Results Screensaver

Mac OS X only: When you need a little break from regular web surfing and want some random images pulled from the internets to give you a little creative jolt, you want Visigami, a search-based photo screensaver. Tap a keyword into Visigami (may I suggest "puppy"?) and watch it zoom and pan image results from Flickr, Google Images, or Picasa and send them flying across your screen in one of three random effects. Control the zoom, spacing, and speed of the 'saver movement, and sit back and enjoy the spectacle. While Visigami is more eye candy than anything else, it's a neat way to enjoy a montage of photos associated with your search term. Visigami is a free download for Mac only.

Neat app. I like the screen saver addition as well. I'm hoping it clears it's image cache frequently - I can't find a setting to change that automatically. It seems like it clears it every time you launch the app or choose different settings. Also note that whatever you change in the app will also change for your screen saver -- so don't pull down images of latest hottie in the app and forget to set it back before the screensaver goes off. (not that it's happened or anything..)
Sidenote: If you want to add the screen saver to your system, copy the Visigami.saver file to your /Library/Screen Saver folder.

It's documented that Tiger crashes the App & the screensaver doesn't run. Looks like it Leopard only 4 the time being.

Random internet images? Unless questionable material is filtered somehow, I'd be careful.
I'd hate to be using something like this at work or in front of kids, searching for goats and ending up with goatse.

@Gabe: I believe SafeSearch is on by default, and in my (admittedly limited) tests, nothing sketchy came up.

Comment on Visigami Image Search Results Screensaver Just thought you all should know - I tried out this application and I have little snitch installed on my machine and it went CRAZY! This application is sending out a ton of requests to totally unrelated websites (many, many, websites, I might add). I'm assuming the developer is using it to generate a lot of hits for add referral $$$ purposes?

And Gina: you're right, it looks like SafeSearch is indeed on by default, and there's nothing in the preferences to turn it off - I played around with it and tried to come up with something that I probably shouldn't be displaying on my screen and totally failed. You're safe to walk away from the computer!

Looks sweet. I just started using the Piclens extension for Firefox to browse DeviantArt and Google Images and it thoroughly rocks. Easy navigation, and fluid movement, as well as faster load times for thumbnails than a regular web page (plus you don't have to keep clicking the "next page" links to see more). Slightly different purpose, but similar outcome. Both look sweet.

Thanks, everytime i power up my Mac, i seem to spend hours looking over Flickr pictures via Piclens, and wishing some would do Screensavers.
