Online collaboration service PalBee integrates video conferencing and whiteboard sharing so you can meet up with co-workers over the internet. PalBee supports one free hour at a time for up to five collaborators, and it can record the session as its happening for later review—the results of which can be embedded on any web page (similar to the video above). Naturally, since PalBee is web-based, it works on all platforms as long as you've got a webcam. PalBee is currently completely free to use, though pay plans are likely to emerge. Hmm...wonder if this will work any better than iChat?

@g4zilla: Well the fact that it is web based means you can run it on any brand computer so that is a bonus right there. People can stick with the OS of their choice as long as they have web access and a cam.

Your readers might be interested to know that we are currently working on a visual facelift for PalBee that will be done in about one month. A new, cleaner, and more professional design for PalBee will be accompanied by support for more participants in a conference and a few more interesting functional features. Keep an eye on us in the month of May!

I've used this a few times, and while it does work it seems kind of half-baked. I know its a startup - but don't release until you are presentable. Case in point - for some reason - when I visit the site in one browser the site will only show up in Korean, I have no idea why. Wirked fine in English the day before now it only appears in Korean. Also - was trying to use the service the other day and nothing - no service, no notice of service down, nada... unprofessional IMHO.
Does anyone know of a FREE service like this that does only the video (no need for whiteboard) and allows for a bit larger video feed? Would be great for grandma's to see the kids.
