Download Unambiguously Legal Content at LegalTorrents

Web site LegalTorrents is a BitTorrent search engine designed to distribute Creative Commons-licensed content. Each torrent submitted to LegalTorrents is reviewed by moderators for the proper licensing and then posted to the site. Additionally, LegalTorrents hosts a high-speed seed for each torrent, guaranteeing that you should always be able to get fairly high-speed transfers; in my tests the downloads were indeed very fast (downloading over 400 KB/s). As is the case with many Creative Commons distribution sites, LegalTorrent's biggest hurdle is populating the site with content people want—but as more artists embrace BitTorrent as a distribution platform, LegalTorrents might be worth keeping an eye on (and may help you avoid getting caught downloading copyrighted material). Then again, if you don't feel like sticking to sites like LegalTorrents, there are other ways to protect your downloading privacy.

Adam... I apologize for the double post. And I am still chuckling.

@ramblnrev: Ha... when our posts go to the front page, some images are automatically cropped and thumbnailed—we don't actually know exactly how those thumbnails will look when we write the post. But, as I see, the crop does come suspiciously close to reading "gal to rent" on the front page. :)

As the thumbnail image loaded on the index page, I was taken aback to see Lifehacker showcasing "Gal for Rent". Just my eyes playing havoc with my brain I guess.

I need to share my first impression of this article. As the graphic came up I did a double take as I saw Lifehacker advertise "Gal To Rent". I quickly realized my eyes had played havoc with my brain, but I wonder if I was the only one. Perchance the graphics needs to get a quick once over before they are posted. hehehe .

If this goes the way its supposed to, then i guess people can upload their stuff without worry. And leechers can leech all they want. This might also come in handy when you want to download legal stuff quick. People like me can also upload their work(music, videos, pictures, etc.) that they created and share it for others to see.

There is also another site that has all legal torrents:
They have great moderators who try their best to filter out illegal torrents and so far, it's another great site for those looking for legal torrents.

I'm surprised they don't have the new Nine Inch Nails album up there. It's under creative commons...you'd think they'd jump on legal content people actually want.
