Easy Multi-City Craigslist Searches
Posted by Gina Trapani at 8:12 AM on March 6, 2008
Fancy-pants dynamic web site crgslst searches multiple craigslist cities on a single page (but not at the same time.) Crgslist can save your cities of interest and past searches for easy reuse, too. [via]
AU - Craigslist isn't Oz-wide but does cover Sydney.

crgslst is currently down, so I wrote a program to do much the same: http://www.bigattichouse.com/oneeyeopen.html , plus you can build two searches with the free version.

Nice idea but it searches the UK craigslist instead of the local one for american cities with UK counterparts.

Here's another alternative: [www.craigshelper.com]
We'll see how long crgslst stays up since craigslist is pretty picky about cross city searching: [www.codinghorror.com]

I had been using [www.crazedlist.org] - but this looks like it might be even better.

Hmmmm, I set up this same thing using Yahoo Pipes. Granted, it was only for my specific set of cities, but the concept could work for any number or them.

Thanks Gina! I've been scouring three major metros around me for fish tanks for the last two weeks. This will save me some time =)

Hmm, something similar I use (when trying to compare prices, for example) is Google search options, for example:
+site:craigslist.org +"honda accord" +(losangeles OR newyork)
