Convert Your Google Calendar to PDF
Posted by Gina Trapani at 11:00 AM on February 20, 2008
If you use Google Calendar, chances are you've ignored the little "Print" button on the left side of the tabs at the top. It just pops a print dialog box, right? Wrong! Hit that Print link to customize the look and feel of your calendar on paper: enlarge or reduce the font size, opt to go black and white only, switch between portrait and landscape orientation, and when you hit Print, your browser doesn't send the page to your printer. Instead, you get a PDF document fit to print, save, or email. Handy!

I print out my Google calendar every night for the next day, but never noticed that I can actually customize it prior to printing. This is useful.

Similarly, I print it out every Sunday evening, marking changes on it as needed. This saves me the trouble of looking online when I'm on the go.

Unfortunately there isn't an easy (any?) way to print them out on 3x5 cards.

This would be great if it worked when printing a calendar that's embedded on a html page - I use the embed method so a team of people can read events (but not add/edit them), but unfortunately the print preview is blank no matter what view I use.
Printing directly from file>print in IE doesn't work either - the only get around I've found is to change the view from 'month' to 'agenda' or 'week' but this still isn't working for some people in IE and unfortunately not all big corporations (such as the record labels I work with) have discovered Firefox yet!
Anyone got any suggestions?

Although it lacks a few more print options (3x5 cards, overriding weekends, etc.), what amazes me most is how small the pdf files are.

Wooh! thanks for this nice tip. I'm now printing the full month out and i have it in a protective sleeve, in conjunction with a dry erase marker for marking the sleeve so that i can go make changes to my digital one when i have time, and i can clean it off afterwards to keep it looking nice.
I also have a large calendar on my whiteboard (full 4'x8') so i really cant forget the date.
and i may talk to one of my teachers about printing a very large version with his plotter

Is there a way to make a Google calendar print the entire description of an entry (not truncate it when they are long)? Could a greasemonkey script be written to do this?
Thanks!

Anyone knows how to print multiple months (on different pages) in one action?

Google Calendar is great, don't get me wrong, but its lack of printing options is the only reason I don't use it. I need more than a 1-week or 1-month view, and to print multiple times is too time consuming. If I could specify a range to print, I'd be set!
