Track Super Tuesday Results with Google and Twitter
Posted by Gina Trapani at 3:38 AM on February 6, 2008

Google's offering two neat tools for tracking today's election action: a Super Tuesday Google Map that displays Twitter posts, Google News headlines, and videos from across the country about the vote, and an iGoogle gadget that tracks candidates' progress in each of the 24 states. If you live in one of the Super Tuesday primary states, be sure to get out there and VOTE today.

Not sure about the iGoogle gadget, but the fascinating Super Tuesday map with Twitter updates is returning a 404.

So what's supposed to be happening on the map? I see that it's divided into counties... I don't see any twitting.
And I can't get the gadget to work. Plus I'm not allowed to sign into my Google acount at work so I wouldn't be able to see the gadget on my iGoogle page anyway.

I guess it would be fun if Google could actually get their own page working. Yay Google!

This sounds cool but I got the 404 error too.
Whoever can get the widget installed in iGoogle first wins Super Tuesday! :)

I searched for the widget using "election results" and found it. Second page of search results.
No election results posted on it yet though.

@thebazillion: It posts "tweets" from those who are voting today or just commenting on the primaries. However, in addition to seeing what people have to say about Super Tuesday, you get to see where the are from!
You can see the gadget preview without signing in.

So far only WV has 100% reporting and I do not see WV on my widget despite seeing it on the preview of the widget.
