Wi-Fi

Airline JetBlue will offer free Wi-Fi to its passengers on select flights starting December 11th, but to begin with will only let laptop users access Yahoo Mail and IM. A start's a start, I guess.

@Duane: Technically you could read lifehacker with your email. There are a number of websites that will allow you to send an email with a website address and they will send you an email back with the website as an attachment or as an html email (depends on the program). Though I'm pretty sure most of those websites were created to help citizens in certain restrictive countries bypass proxies and not help us read lifehacker on a plane. But hey, if you feel bad you could just setup your own server to do it.

Darn, not the least bit useful to me; I only use my Yahoo Mail account to sign up for things that I know will send me spam, and I don't know anyone who uses Yahoo Messenger anymore (I know there are people, I just don't know any of them).
It will be news when they allow me to read Lifehacker ;-)

That kind of a marketing campaign just isn't fair. It's forceful advertising, like strictly regimented online activity for the financial benfit of some already-rich company. It's pretty selfish, I think.
