Access Your Database from Your Phone with Zoho Creator
Posted by Kevin Purdy at 1:30 AM on November 22, 2007
Online productivity suite Zoho has rolled out a mobile version of its Creator webapp , which can make both basic databases and help forge customised interfaces and applications to use them. As the somewhat (intentionally?) cheesy promotional video shows, It could be useful for adding to office or personal projects and websites on the go, or for pulling up and presenting information from a non-sensitive database. Like other Zoho applications, Creator is free to use but requires an account sign-up.

this seems like it has potential, but again you are releasing your data out onto the web. While it may be limited, it still is out there. I prefer taking the receipts and plugging them into my budget once a week before I do one of my backups. It seems to work fairly well for me, but again this does have potential, perhapse even for corporate or business expenses from the road. (We really are the "now" generation aren't we?)

I like zoho products a lot but until I really have to switch, I am going to stick with google apps. I use google docs and spreadsheets extensively to collaborate with my teams and it works great. But if you are considering zoho, you should check out this brief review

Google Apps sucks on mobile phones. Google still hasn't gotten mobile right. When they do it will be a good thing.

I've never tried it on mobile, but I've become a big fan of Zoho Creator. For non-secure databases, it's a snap to get one going.
