Yahoo Launches Kickstart Career Network
Posted by Gina Trapani at 1:00 AM on November 6, 2007
Yahoo launches new social network Kickstart today, aimed at students, alum, and recruiters who want to make professional contacts. Top reason to use Kickstart in addition to all your existing social networks?
Uncle Ron may work for IBM, but it doesn't mean you want him writing on your wall or poking your friends. In short, Kickstart's meant for separating your "fun" (read: frat party photo-studded) profile on Facebook and MySpace from your serious, professional face for potential employers.

I am sticking with LinkedIn. In my experience, Yahoo! services = spam magnets.

It's Yahoo, and Yahoo just has more exposure to the average person.

I just joined it...I have Linkedin already but I am interested to see what this site has to offer...so far I like Linkedin a tad more, but who know.

The social networking is getting too competitive and confusing as there are a lot of services that are being launched and this might impact the success of the useful services as the user is confused which service to adopt.

if yahoo can't stop strangers from sending me sex sites or guys in egypt soliciting for an american wife what makes them think I want them involved in my work search? I just don't see this as a good idea. Call me jaded but well yahoo jaded me
