Posted by Adam Pash at 9:30 AM on October 11, 2007

We got all up in your personal space a few weeks back in our Go Bag Show and Tell Parts one, two, and three, but in case you missed any of the submissions or wanted to take a second look at what your fellow Lifehacker readers carry around with them when they need to get things done on the go, we're rounding up every submission into one master gallery for your browsing pleasure. Hit the jump to take a look.
Remember, your fellow readers included descriptions of everything they carry, so if you see something you like, just give the description a look for more details.

Most of these with PSPs and other various electronic *fun* devices are basically paper weights after a few hours of use and are thusly useless.
I don't have a go bag so I'm calling the kettle black, but if I did it would NOT have a whole ton of gadgets.
It would have money, a map, some powerbars, iodine tablets, a water bottle. Some bandanas (to tie, tighten, protect) and some other stuff to help me identify where I was.

I seem to recall some confusion last time Go Bags came up here at Lifehacker. Many folks use the term "Go bag" elsewhere to describe a Bug out Bag/Emergency bag/72 hour kit. The first 2 commenters seem to have gone along with this definition, as typically used at places like Zombie Hunters.
In terms of well accepted usage, perhaps EDC bag would be a better term to use here (as in Every Day Carry). Check out [edcforums.com] for more of that type of thing.

@mmr: This is the Internet, so pardon me if I missed some sarcasm, but are you serious?
These aren't Evac Kits, they're simply Bags that Lifehacker readers take with them on the Go. Regularly.
From the original submission request: "(...) your "Go Bag"-the on-the-go bag that you throw over your shoulder whenever you head out the door (...)"

Everyone should have at least one "Go Bag" or a "Bug Out Bag" for emergencies. (Having one at home, one in the car and one at work is even better.) For example Ready New York: Go Bag
I second DIETHACKS.COM's suggestion that the term EDC bag is better for Lifehacker's discussion of stuff you happen to carry around everyday. It is hard enough to convince people to prepare a Go Bag without confusion about what the term means.
