Windows only: KillProcess lets you kill single or multiple processes in one swoop, manually or through predefined “kill lists”. It’s a fully flushed out utility that even lets you terminate protected Microsoft system processes.
Windows: Process Manager, the utility that gives you way more options with your windows than just closing or minimising, has updated with some helpful new features, including universal keyboard shortcuts and system tray options for all Windows operating systems.
Windows only: Superior Task Manager replacement Process Explorer continues to improve on an already impressive set of features, this time with more informative tooltips, .NET process information and other fixes.
Linux tip: Many users are all too familiar with using Ctrl+Alt+Del (or Cmd+Opt+Esc on a Mac) to kill unresponsive processes. There isn’t a comparable keyboard shortcut for Linux by default, but there are a number of equivalent methods for dealing with stuck processes.
Windows: You’ve hit CTRL+ALT+DEL, you’ve tried killing the application in Task Manager, you just can’t kill it. Fire up Pskill to put that application down with surgical precision.
Android: If you’re an Android user who’s keen on Google’s Tasks to-do manager, a beta application can give you offline access and syncing to the tasks you’ve stashed away in Gmail, Google Calendar or iGoogle.
Web-based to-do manager Todoist already integrates with Gmail forwards and opens from Launchy, but a “Todoist Anywhere” bookmarklet makes the service easy to integrate with Gmail labels or individual messages, as detailed in this video.
