With a little help from xda-developers, Ausdroid has managed to get Google Wallet working on a Nexus S. Sure, you can only spend $US10, but it’s your first chance to try the service out before it arrives locally… which I’ll readily admit could be never. So perhaps your only chance.
As we reported earlier today, the Vodafone Nexus S goes on sale this Friday. As well as the 24-month contract plans, there are also 12-month deals available. But if you don’t want to sign a contract, the situation becomes confusing.
A month after announcing it would sell the Nexus S in Australia, Vodafone has set an on-sale date: Friday March 11 at 9am. Like the original Nexus, you’ll only be able to order it online. Read on for our roundup of the plans it’s available on.

Vodafone sold the original Nexus One for a brief period in Australia, so it’s not surprising that it has also secured a deal for its successor, the Samsung-manufactured Nexus S. No word on when it will go on sale or what the price will be, but from 9am on February 8 you can register on the local Vodafone site to express your interest in the phone.
The Android Gingerbread-sporting Nexus S from Samsung looks like a nifty phone. Unfortunately, release plans for Australia seem pretty unformed.
