If you’re enjoying an HD video-enabled DSLR camera, you’ve probably found that one of the drawbacks is trying to see the LCD screen in sunlight. With photos you could use the viewfinder, but you can’t with video. Companies like Zacuto have solved this problem with a $US395 viewfinder that attaches to your LCD screen to provide you with an eyepiece. If $US4 sounds a bit more within your price range, you may want to make one of these DIY viewfinders instead.
