Optus iPhone 3GS Prices: No Big Shocks, Tethering Just About Dead
June 23rd, 2009 at 12:15 PMI too will be ditching Optus as soon as my current plan expires. I came to them because Voda’s customer service had gotten so poor I could no longer support their ineptitude.
Optus are actively trying to rip me off with this tethering charge. If their reason is truly to protect the integrity of their network, then the bundled bandwidth plans are a con – they obviously realise their network cannot provide the bandwidth they charge you for.
I won’t support such duplicitous behaviour any longer than I have to.

June 19th, 2009 at 9:52 AMThis is likely to drive people to jailbreak. I’ve avoided jailbreaking until now, as I believe that app developers should be rewarded for their efforts. Jailbreaking the iPhone makes it very easy to get everything for free. How long does moral resolve hold out when there’s no impediment to temptation?
