Internet Shaping For Beginners
November 4th, 2009 at 5:22 PMI quit iiNet because I kept on being shaped on their biggest plan (My whole house has fallen in love with streaming)
64kb internet is totally unusable and there was nothing I could do apart from going on a prohibitive business plan. Uber fail.
Went to TPG which offers 512k shaping on its largest (120GB) plan. havent hit it yet but we are close, but 512kb is actual usable internet with no extra. Just no streaming which aint so bad.

Its nice to have a brand and everything, but the reality is they want you to live in their world. Now I may not speak for the majority, but the Google colour scheme is a bit tacky even at the best of times.
You can change colours with userscripts, but that breaks when updates are made etc. The ability to turn ALL my Google products dark for a while might be a nice change once in a while.

June 29th, 2009 at 10:09 PMThe only time I ever use my CD drive these days is to reinstall an operating system. I think its a great idea and I would prefer it if I could load windows from a USB stick.
It would save the the 30 seconds of fumbling before I remember where they put that pesky CD drive.
