Top 5 Things You Should Never Pay Full Price For

Spotify Is The Best Desktop Music Player We've Ever Used
August 7th, 2009 at 9:34 AMPlayed with this in Europe last month, love it. I listen to streaming music when I am at my desk (gotta love iiNet’s freezone streams). Would love to have it available in Australia. Portability is not a concern – that’s when I listen to my own music. When I am at my desk I don’t mind getting little surprises – tracks I haven’t heard in years and all that.
What Do You Need At Your Seat?
July 6th, 2009 at 1:29 PMMost of my flights are long haul and I prefer aisle seats, so it’s not a drama to get stuff from overhead, but I have noticed the bins these days are getting fuller and fuller, so often my bag is not in easy reach. I usually wear a light shell jacket with heaps of pockets. In this jacket I generally carry the following: passport, travel documents, headphones, neat little adapter that converts aircraft two pin audio sockets to a single socket for headphones, iPhone (again great for movies, podcasts, music etc), business card holder – to sit the iPod in on the fold down table, ibuprofen tablets in the neat little pill bottle (for quelling developing headaches before they drive me mad), a 4,800 mAh charger and cable for the iphone and a pen for filling out customs forms.
Hand Luggage Only: The Big Lessons Learned
June 1st, 2009 at 1:15 PMRegarding overhead luggage stowage. I recently returned from North America where I was stymied by the board by numbers policy UA have (1= 1st and business, 2=back of the plane, 3=front of the plane, 4=aisle seats). I routinely only ever book aisle seats – a must for flying long haul economy. Whilst the board by numbers system works well to eliminate congestion in the aisles in the plane whilst boarding. It does mean that I am last to board, which means there is often no room for my carry on. Sigh, this traveling this gets more and more complex.
