Use This Easy URL To Manage Your iOS Subscriptions

Apple doesn’t make it easy to figure out what apps you’ve subscribed to on iOS — go figure. In fact, just remembering where to go to see your subscriptions (and cancel them, if need be) usually requires a trip to your favourite search engine. Or, at least, it did.

Ryan Jones, formerly of Apple and now founder of the to-be-launched Flighty App, has gone and done what Apple should have done, oh, when subscriptions first debuted on the App Store.

The usual advice applies: When you’re using someone’s redirect URL, make sure that it’s taking you to the right place — ideally, within the App Store app of your macOS or iOS device — and not some sketchy website that looks like the App Store’s Subscriptions page.

As of when we wrote this article, Jones’ redirect is legit, and it makes it incredibly easy to manage your subscriptions. Without it, this is the annoying process you use to find the same Subscriptions settings on iOS:

  • Open the App Store
  • Tap on your icon in the upper-right corner
  • Tap on your name
  • Authenticate into your Account Settings
  • Scroll down and tap Subscriptions

Or, if you want to get wild:

  • Open the Settings app
  • Tap on your name
  • Tap on “iTunes & App Store”
  • Tap on the Apple ID field
  • Tap View Apple ID
  • Scroll down and tap Subscriptions.

We’d much rather have Jones’ handy URL — which just resolves to https://buy.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/DirectAction/manageSubscriptions, if you want to create your own redirect.
