Everything Coming To Netflix, Stan, Foxtel And Amazon This October

Neither Stan nor the Australian Netflix library has anything near the range of US streaming services, every month we get just a little more. Read on to see all the content that will be added to their libraries in October.

Stranger Things is back! Netflix has a pretty decent lineup for the month ahead (including new episodes of Riverdale and Designated Survivor) but let’s be honest, we’re all just holding out for Stranger Things Season 2.

Amazon Prime Video is finally available in Australia, and this month we’re getting a couple of new original shows for the service — plus subscribers can live stream America’s Thursday night football every Thursday at 11:25am AEDT.

Lore:


On 13 October, Lore will be available on Prime Video. Lore, featuring Robert Patrick (Terminator 2: Judgment Day), Kristin Bauer van Straten (True Blood), Adam Goldberg (Fargo) Holland Roden (Teen Wolf), Colm Feore (House of Cards) and Campbell Scott (The Amazing Spider-Man), combines documentary footage, narration, historical mixed media and cinematic scenes to bring to life terrifying, but true stories. Celebrating the origins of the horror genre, Lore explores the real-life tales behind pop culture’s most legendary horror myths, such as vampires, changelings, werewolves, séances and possessed dolls.

The Tick (Season 1):


On 13 October, season one of Amazon Original Series, The Tick, will be available on Prime Video, now with dubbing in French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese. The Tick centres on an underdog accountant, Arthur Everest, with zero powers who comes to realise his city is owned by a global super villain long-thought dead. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero…The Tick!

Red Oaks (Season 3):


On 20 October, Prime Video members will have access to the third season of Red Oaks. Starring Craig Roberts, Ennis Esmer, Oliver Cooper, Alexandra Turshen, Richard Kind and Paul Reiser, season three finds David in the Big Apple during the summer of ‘87, working at a video production company, and striking out with the ladies of New York. Luckily he’s got roommate Wheeler to help cheer him up. But Wheeler’s got his own problems, with the appearance on the scene of a handsome rival for Misty’s affections. Meanwhile Nash brings an incarcerated Getty news of a threat to the future of their beloved Red Oaks.


Foxtel

Foxtel’s October schedule includes a handful of new seasons of your favourite shows, from Mr Robot to The Walking Dead, streamed as episodes air weekly.
