If you’re lost in the wild and in dire need of food, you can make a fish hook out of something you’re almost guaranteed to have on you – a zipper. We explain how to pull it off. In this video from the AlfieAesthetics YouTube channel, you’ll learn 20 useful survival skills, including an easy method for making a fish hook. Just remove the slide and pull tab from the zipper on your jacket or backpack, then break open the loop at the end of the pull tab. Carefully bend out the metal, sharpen the end with a rock, and you have yourself a hook. Tie on some line, add some bait if you can find it, and you should be able to catch some small fish for food.
