Video: If you need a bed frame that will fit the theme of your kid’s room, you can try building it yourself instead of shopping around. This bed frame is sturdy, easy to build and a great starting point for any custom bed a kid will love.
In this video from the Average Joe’s Joinery YouTube channel, you’ll learn how to build a very basic bed frame for children. You’ll need three 3m CLS 2x4s, one large piece of plywood, some wood glue, screws and access to a workshop with basic carpentry tools and saws. Once it’s all put together, you’ll have a bed that’s a blank canvas for whatever your kid wants. You can paint it however you like, add a custom headboard, build on some toy or book drawers or whatever your kid desires. The build shouldn’t take more than a weekend, and you can even get them to help you. You’ll find a complete build list at the link below.
