A Monkey Bar Workout That Boosts Your Upper Body Strength And Makes You Feel Like A Kid Again

Video: Remember when monkey bars were easier? Of course, you were probably a kid and way lighter. As an adult, monkey bars are still a fun way to build your upper body strength and endurance to ease you toward your first pull-up, or just feel like a strong-arse kid again.

This video shows nine different monkey bar workouts to challenge your grip and arm strength. Some are way more advanced than others, so obviously start with what you can. You’d be surprised by how quickly the monkey bars can beat up your grip. Plus, swinging across monkey bars needs some core and leg work as well to keep your body from swinging out of control. The main thing here is to have fun. Consistently doing structured gym or bodyweight workouts are still some of the best ways to get you strong, but sometimes it’s nice to take a break away from sets and reps (it definitely helped me have fun again).
