Covering your biscuits in a cloth or towel helps trap some heat, but no matter what, they get cold after a few minutes. That’s why Lisa Freedman at The Kitchn suggests you use a homemade rice bag basket. First, line a basket or bowl with a cloth or tea towel. Then fill a cloth bag or a clean sock with rice and put it in the microwave for about a minute so it gets nice and warm. Now put the rice bag in the basket or bowl, lay down a paper towel, and fill it up with your freshly baked biscuits. Add another cloth or tea towel on top and you’ve got biscuits that will stay warm until dessert.
