Let Your Whole Family Watch This Internet Security Basics Course

As the holidays get closer, you’re probably going to spend a lot of time with your family, many of whom will get shiny new devices. If they want your help setting up their new toys, consider making this internet security course required viewing.

The above video series (playlist link below) from security company Varonis contains five in-depth lessons on topics like choosing a good password, how to know when to trust a website, and how to protect your phone. There’s even one on the subject of the internet of things, which might be handy if you’re giving a relative their first smart device.

In total, the video series lasts about an hour and sixteen minutes, which is probably less time than you’ll spend teaching your uncle how to talk to Alexa. Fortunately, you can break it down to specific topics, if you’d rather dish it out in bite-size chunks.

The videos are very basic, so even if you already know the information within, they’re handy to have so you can share them with others. If you’re dealing with a friend or family member that constantly wants to use you for tech support, send them one or all of these videos and tell them to follow their advice.
