After teasing us with some hidden games, Facebook has now launched its full-blown gaming feature for its Messenger platform. You can now play a bunch of games through Facebook Messenger in a browser on desktop or in the mobile app. Here’s the list of games, what devices they’re compatible with and how you can start playing them now.
It worth mentioning that Facebook isn’t a trailblazer here: messenger app Telegram already introduced a similar gaming function in October.
Facebook is rolling Messenger games out in 30 countries, including Australia. In terms of compatibility on the mobile platform, you’ll need a device that runs either:
- iOS 8 or higher
- Android Lollipop or higher

On desktop:

On mobile devices:

I have the newest Android nougat on my lg v20 and still can’t play the games
Same issue here, if you figure out a solution please let me know. Using a Nougat Rom on my OnePlus One.
I tried signing in with a different account, I’m pretty sure it’s a Nougat issue.
Same here. Really irritating.
I can’t play when I press on learn more instead of play now it says this game can’t be played on this device.
Bosser473 same situation. ; _ ;
Using the google pixel and it says “this feature isn’t available for everyone yet”
Today is the first day I have seen the games option popup on Messenger. I click on the new conversation button, and there is a games icon that appears in the bottom bar. I have only tried Galaga and Space Invaders. Galaga works much better for me – the movement doesn’t lag as much. I’m using a Nexus 5 with Android 6.0.1.
Can you please share the .apk file?
Not playing icon ang selected games are there.
Can’t find the game controller icon. I tried in the ellipsis icon there is no game controller icon
There was a games option on messenger, like “favorites”, “active now”, “more conversation”, and “games”. But i deleted it so now it’s hidden. How can I undo?

hi guys! there are 3 reasons why the games in facebook messenger are not playing
for androids:
1. You need an updated messenger apps
2. Those games are supported in wifi only
3. If you are using Data make sure that your phone has active VPN
for Desktop:
1. Since most desktop is direct connection through internet. you can’t able to play a game
thanks
I was trying to play battleship with my boyfriend who uses an android phone and every time he tries to accept my invite to play or if he tries clicking the game and starting one himself it will load either to 100% or close to 100% and then just closes itself out. Anyone know why or what to do?
