Transform Your IKEA Lack Table Into An ‘Infinity’ Table

If you Lack coffee table just isn’t sci-fi enough, don’t worry, you have options. One of the more interesting projects is converting it into an “infinity” table, where the combination of LEDs, glass and a mirror creates a neat optical illusion that’s sure to entertain guests and terrify your cat.

Instructables user “MrCheatak” has a comprehensive tutorial available, if you’d like to give it a try. You’ll need to cut into the top of the table, to make space for the mirror, glass and electronics.

Before you do that, however, you’ll need to source all the parts (assuming you have the Lack already). While you can order most of it online, include the LED array, you might have to get the mirror and glass custom cut.

If you’re not a fan of the lights, you could do without them, though it does make the effect less impressive.

As you can see in the lead image, the end result is definitely worth it.
