The Masters Fire Sale Is Finally Heating Up

Remember the Masters closing down sale? It’s still going and the prices ares finally worthwhile. You can now score up to 70 per cent off everything in-store, including BBQs, power tools, paints, lighting, lawn mowers, wallpaper, furniture and miscellaneous DIY supplies. Here’s what you need to know.

When Masters announced it was shutting down with a “huge” fire sale, the initial deals were a bit lukewarm, to say the least. Most items were only discounted by 10 per cent and in many cases the new price was actually more expensive than superior products from other retailers.

If the Dick Smith fire sale taught us anything, it’s that good things come to those who wait — and so it is with Masters. The minimum discount in-store is now 40 per cent. Around on-fifth of stock has been slashed by 70 per cent.

Naturally, some product categories are discounted more than others. Here are the main deals as they currently stand:

40% Off

  • Christmas Trees
  • Power tools
  • Garden tools
  • Indoor/outdoor pots
  • Garden hoses and sprinkling

50% off

  • Interior wall paints
  • Indoor lighting
  • Powertool accessories

60% off

  • Carpteting

70% off

  • Interior blinds
  • Roller blinds
  • Wardrobe accessories
  • Wallpapers
  • Door hinges
  • Guttering

The official closing date for all stores is 11 December but by then all the decent stuff is sure to be gone. We strongly recommend hitting your local Masters by next weekend at the very latest. You can read up on Masters returns/refund policy here.
