Make A Fully Functional Hobby Rocket Out Of Household Items

Video: If you’re looking for something fun to work on over the weekend, this homemade rocket build is made mostly from household items and is super cheap to put together.

This video from Grant Thompson’s YouTube channel explains everything you need to send a homemade rocket sky high and live out your October Sky fantasy. You’ll need an empty medicine bottle, plastic champagne glass, sandpaper, spray paint (optional), some PVC piping and a few other items. If you don’t have some of the necessary items, you can pick most of them up at the store for cheap. All in all, the project probably won’t cost you more than around $15. You can even turn an old video game controller into your launch remote. The building process isn’t too difficult, but it is fairly drawn out, so check out the videos explaining each aspect of Thompson’s rocket build at the link below.
