Instapaper Premium Features Are Now Free For Everyone

Instapaper’s decided to kill off its $US29.99 ($39)/year Instapaper Premium subscription service, effectively making all those paid features available to all users.

While Instapaper’s always been free, its Premium subscription tucked a few of its best features behind a paywall. This included:

  • An ad-free Instapaper website
  • Full-text search for all articles
  • Unlimited Notes
  • Text-to-speech playlists
  • Unlimited speed reading
  • “Send to Kindle” via bookmarklet and mobile apps
  • Kindle Digests of up to 50 articles

Now, all those features are available to all, which for many might put Instapaper ahead of its big rival, Pocket. If you’re a Premium subscriber, Instapaper is sending out prorated refunds, so check your email for more info.
