Instantly Restart Chrome With A Bookmark

Rebooting Chrome isn’t exactly rocket science, but it does require a few more clicks than necessary. So, Digital Inspiration created a bookmarklet that does it for you.

The fastest way to restart Chrome is to point the address bar to chrome://restart then press Enter. So it follows that all you have to do to add a restart button is to make a bookmark with that URL. From any page, Tap Ctrl+D (Cmd+D on Mac) to bookmark the page.

Then click the Edit button, and insert chrome://restart into the URL field. Click the Save button and you’re done. If you’re rebooting Chrome a lot, either because you’re testing something or you just like to unload processes in RAM, this is an easy way to do it.
