But IT professionals can score a bargain too, with a number of online learning portals slashing prices for courses ranging from coding to business skills. Whether you’re an IT worker looking to upskill or just someone trying to get into the IT industry, here are a few Cyber Monday deals from learning portals you can sink your teeth into.
There may be some who are sceptical of the effectiveness of online training courses. But these courses can serve as a great way to get acquainted with topics and concepts that you’re unfamiliar with. There are a lot of IT courses available online and while some may not provide you with comprehensive training, they can at least help you learn more about a particular field you’re interested in. Programming skills are invaluable when you’re in IT and schools are now looking at introducing coding as part of the curriculum. But for those who haven’t been able to get a formal education in programming but want to get started in learning, there are plenty of online training outlets you can try out. One of the better known learning portals is Code School, which is owned by IT training company PluralSight, that offers hands-on programming courses.
It runs on a subscription model where a paid account gives you unlimited access to all the courses.

IT is no longer a backroom function and has become a core part of businesses big and small.
