Castro Adds Widget Controls For Instant Podcast Listening On iPhone

iOS: Castro is a great podcast manager for people who prefer to focus on individual episodes as opposed to full subscriptions, and now an update makes accessing those podcasts much faster.

Unlike most podcasts managers, Castro uses an inbox system where you queue up episodes of podcasts you want to listen to. This queue hierarchy simplifies playing podcasts. You’ll see up to the top nine episodes in the widget and you can play an episode without opening the app. It sounds like a dumb minor thing, but it’s super useful, especially when you just want to hear something without putting a lot of thought into it. The update also adds CarPlay support and comes with a price drop to $5.99.
