It’s election day in the US, and that means a ton of media companies, from newspapers to pay TV, are tearing down their paywalls to give anyone unfettered access to their coverage. From The New York Times to CNN, here’s everywhere you can get unlimited coverage from the US.
Aside from America’s national and local newspapers simply removing paywalls for the day, some US pay TV and over-the-air channels are also live streaming all day when they wouldn’t usually. NBC News, PBS Newshour and C-SPAN all have live streams on YouTube. America’s ABC News will be doing the same on Facebook Live.
Here’s the full list of US sites removing paywalls for the day:
- New York Times
- Washington Post
- CNN
- Sling TV
- Indianapolis Star
- Miami Herald
- Orlando Sun-Sentinel
- Minneapolis Star Tribune
- Delaware Online
- The Telegram & Gazette
- USA Today
- All Gatehouse Media Papers
There are likely more smaller publications and local TV channels running the same type of deal, so if there’s a certain US publication you like that’s usually behind a paywall, it’s worth checking to see if they have pulled it down for the day.
