iOS: Google updated its Google Maps app for iPhone to bring in a handful of new features, including an improved widget and more detailed descriptions.
Now, when you search of a location in the app, you’ll get much more info about features, amenities and atmosphere. The widgets are also redesigned for iOS 10. You can now add a “Nearby Transit” widget or a travel time widget, and they can easily be refreshed right from the lock screen. Both also can be expanded out to show more info, which is especially handy with the transit widget since it will show you ten or so nearby routes. The update’s available now.
