Addicaid Is An App And Social Network To Help You Find Treatment And Recover From Addiction

iOS/Android: If you or a loved one is struggling with substance abuse, gambling, alcohol, eating disorders or some other addiction, Addicaid may provide you with one option for recourse, or at least an outlet for you to confide in someone who understands.

Addicaid is a social platform that provides addicts with unconventional treatment options, which include a combination of cognitive behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing and other forms of therapy; and programs to hold them accountable. Created by a team of recovering addicts and addiction experts, the free app was one of four finalists as part of a healthcare technology competition by Harvard Business School and Harvard Medical School.

Based on your data, the app creates custom treatment plans and goals and matches you with other individuals and professionals for support. You get access to progress charts, journal prompts and services that can help you find places for recovery meetings. Treatment for addiction is very complex and can be costly, and Addicaid aims to reduce costs for the sufferer, as well as help providers and employers.
