iOS: Podcasts are great, but the effort required to pick one out and play it is a little obnoxious sometimes. 60db is a new app that helps with that, focused on short-form podcasts from a variety of providers.
60db feels like a cross between something like Flipboard, Spotify Discover and a traditional podcast app. When you first boot it, you’ll pick a few interests and 60db will pull a variety of podcasts for you. Most of them are around five to 10 minutes long, though there is a in-depth section with longer podcasts if you’re interested. As you listen, 60db learns more about your listening habits and customises the feed to you. It’s a clever system that’s well worth a look if you’re a podcast lover who doesn’t necessarily like the freedom of choice all the time.
