There are some obvious generalities, like having attractive photos or being witty, but let’s be more specific. Tinder’s in-house sociologist Jessica Carbino suggests adding a conversation-starting question to make it easier for someone else to message you. For example, mentioning that you enjoy trying new restaurants in your profile is great, but asking for recommendations, or to hear other users’ favourite restaurants, is even better.
