The PlayStation Network Is Down

The PlayStation Network (PSN) isn’t working for many gamers around the world, including Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom. Affected services include multiplayer online games, video streaming apps like Netflix, PlayStation Music and the PlayStation Store. If your PlayStation 4 won’t connect to the internet, here are the details you need to know.

As reported over on Kotaku, large swathes of the PSN are currently experiencing connectivity issues with gamers unable to access most services. Here’s the details-free announcement on the official PSN support page:

Affected Platforms: PS4™ , PS Vita , Web , Other
Affected Services: You may have some difficulty signing in or creating an account on PlayStation™Network. Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.

In addition, all of the PlayStation Network servers are currently listed as being down.

Some services have been returning intermittently and it’s not yet clear what is causing the issue. Could it be another DDOS attack? We’ll keep you informed as we learn more.
