Feels like yesterday Microsoft was trumpeting the arrival of Xbox One and now look — you can pick up a brand-new console for less than $300. Sure, it’s on special, but it’s still amazing how quickly the price can drop on the latest generation of gaming machines… given the right motivation.
At the moment, Big W is selling the 500GB Xbox One for $269. It’s not bundled with anything, but that doesn’t stop it from being a steal.
Depending on where you live you might be able to snag online stock with free (or cheap) delivery. Alternatively, if entering your postcode comes up with zilch, you may have to embark on a quest to your local store.
When I checked, there was online stock available for delivery to Melbourne metro, so your chances (currently) are good. But I imagine at this price it won’t stay that way, especially now that I’ve gone and posted about it.
