Napkin Talks You Through Recipes So You Can Focus On Cooking

iOS: There are plenty of useful recipe apps out there, the only problem is, it can be mildly annoying to cook and check your phone after each step. Napkin eliminates this annoyance with voice-guided recipes.

The app is free, but it comes with a limited selection of recipes, meaning you can’t just import and use any old recipe you find online. You have to use their database, and right now, there are only a handful of recipes available (but more are coming).

The good news is, the recipes look tasty, and the app works really well. You just pick a recipe, and it takes you through each step of the instructions. When you finish dicing an onion, for example, just say “next” and Napkin will read aloud the next step.

Each step shows you a photo of what that step should look like, too, so you can make sure you’re on the right track. Of course, each recipe also includes the full text as well. The app is also available on Apple Watch. Unfortunately, there’s currently no Android version. You can check out this app for yourself at the link below.
